DJ Stretch was introduced to music at a young age. His father played music every weekend, mainly Caribbean sound systems, and it was on his father’s turntable that he spun his first record at the age of twelve.
While Stretch frequently played with his father’s turntable, his interest in becoming a DJ would come after hearing the Showtime Riddim by DJ Roy, from iRie Jam Radio. “I was determined to mix exactly how DJ Roy did and didn’t stop trying until I did.” From there, DJ Stretch improved his skillsets and expanded his craft.
DJs that inspired and continue to influence DJ Stretch are DJ Ace, the crowd motivator out of Brooklyn, NY, DJ KMT from Harlem, NY, DJ Roy, and his Road International Sound System, DJ Red Alert, Funkmaster Flex, DJ Showbiz, DJ Jazzy Joyce and many more.
DJ Stretch is currently available for private and corporate events, and weddings both in-person and via teleconference.
